Jamie Lavallee, RMT My name is Jamie Lavallee. I am a Registered Massage Therapist and the owner and clinical director of One Branch Therapeutic Wellness, with clinics in both Sechelt and Gibsons. One Branch was created to offer consistent, high-quality massage therapy delivered by skilled, professional RMTs who take the time to listen and treat with care. My role as clinic owner is not only to treat clients, but to set a clear clinical standard for our RMT's - one that is evidence-informed, thoughtful, and grounded in respect for the nervous system and the individual experience of pain, recovery and healing. My interest in massage therapy began after a serious motor vehicle accident in 2009. Living with chronic pain gave me first-hand insight into how complex healing can be, and how important it is for care to feel safe, calm, and well-paced. That experience continues to shape how I approach treatment and how I mentor the therapists who work within the clinic to build their own practices, each bringing their own unique brand of skills to our community. I graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2016 and have worked with a wide range of conditions and presentations. I have a particular focus on women’s health across all stages of life, as well as chronic pain, post-injury recovery, and stress-related conditions. My treatments follow evidence-based practice, with close attention to how the nervous system responds to touch, pressure, and environment. In addition to my massage therapy training, I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training through the Vancouver School of Healing Arts in 2018. This informs a treatment style that values breath, body awareness, and clear communication - especially important for clients recovering from injury, navigating pregnancy or postpartum changes, or rebuilding trust in their bodies after trauma. One Branch Therapeutic Wellness was built to serve the Sunshine Coast community with care that is professional, reliable, and human. We also welcome visitors to the Coast who are looking for thoughtful, consistent treatment from experienced practitioners. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, gardening, and spending time with my six children.
